He thinks this is the final "scandal" that will lead to Bush's impeachment.

Yeah, any minute now he'll say "How DARE the President urinate on taxpayers' time. What kind of out of touch monster pees while millions are Hurricane Katrina victims lay dying in the flooded streets of New Orleans?"

The security of The Republic demands that the President put this on!

The sad part is that I have no doubt that Michael Moore will insert that picture of the alleged Bush note into footage of flooding New Orleans, to create the implication that Bush's allleged bathroom break is directly tied to the broken levee.

The sadder part is that whomod and people like him will then cite that scene as "proof" that the Hurricane is Bush's fault.

No really, this scandal is right up there with the "Bush gave the finger to the press" bit that whomod was hyperventilating over.

I've been saying this for quite some time now. A colostomy bag would work fine...

Moore interviewing a DC-area sewage worker:

Quote:

"Yeah, I heard the President go the restroom. Got the most distinctive smell, more musky than Clinton but less fragrant than his Dad. When he flushed, I had the most awful feelin'..."

"When did this happen?"

"Oh, about 6am on August 29th. Just when Katrina really sent New Orleans through its paces."

"There you have it--proof!"

You can also expect this scene:

Moore asking a doctor if its true that beer makes you pee more and the doctor saying "yes." Cut to footage of Bush admitting to being a heavy drinker in his younger days.

Speaking as someone who's already seen the rough cut, I can tell you that the scene you mentioned is asked--but about wine. You were close though.

No Greatest American Hero theme, but Moore is working hard to secure the rights to Led Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks" and Jerry Lee Lewis's "Drinkin Wine Spo De Odie"

Further evidence that he's bizarro Bush: he can write.

Oh, for the love of God... and people can say the press isn't liberal with a straight face...
It is very clear that the comment "I think I may need a bathroom break?" was written in block letters by a person other than the one responding to it in this photo. The hand in the photo, if it is President Bush's, is clearly writing not only in script, but at a slightly different size, with a different amount of force than the person who wrote the block comment. I imagine at trained handwriting analyst could note far more inconsistencies between the two areas of text.

I honestly don't care if it's real or not (though Reuters says it is). It's funny as fuck, and that's not debatable.

If it was a fake cutaway on Letterman it'd be funny.

When its presented as actual news by an actual news organization its about as funny as those fake National Guard memos.

Actually, the fact that it's out of place (assuming it's fake) makes it even funnier.
