Ricardo Maltobam had the theory that Chekov was assigned, just not to the bridge. He said that Khan ran into Chekov in the bathroom and Chekov used the last of the toilet paper. Khan looked at him and said "I never forget a face, Mr. Chekov."
I hope they didn't shake hands.......Chekov was notorious for wiping his ass with out toilet paper.
