Small problem with what you're saying. A few, actually. Selig can't do a damned thing about this blown call. The umpires have a union that prevents any on-the-spot firings. Moreno and/or his lawyer can't do a thing unless they can somehow prove that Eddings purposely botched the call to give Chicago the opportunity to win - not very likely. This type of serious error can, however, lead to discipline and may eventually lead to Eddings being sent to the minors or let go. Eventually.

The umpires this season, across the board, have been god-awful. Hopefully, this example of incompetance will lead to serious review of the current crop...
