That gets you nowhere...I always played it safe, requesting an exact quote before bidding or taking the BIN...but I've recently recieved my first negative from a guy who quoted me one price and then demanded another after I won the item. There was nothing eBay would do, suggesting only that we work it out ourselves.

i never bid with anyone who doesn't have a lengthy list of positive feedback. i always scan and then check out any people who left negative feedback (you can tell the assholes because they'll have lots of similar complaints from different sellers).
