Jeremy is gay,not stupid!

Ah well, at least I was defended.
So here's the play by play: After getting my internet explorer to actually come up, I did some hefty research. I updated ad-aware and my virus protection, both of which didn't catch a thing. It must be too new, therefore not in the definition files. Spybot was useless too. I googled SpyAxe and found boards with people having the same problems. They all agreed Spyaxe's removal tool was junk...don't use it (whew! Dodged a bullet there!). I tried using TrendMicro's Housecall service (always to be trusted) but, being on dial up, it took forever just to get started. Fuck that, I went to bed.
What I did do though was find the dll and exe files associated with SpyAxe, my googling helped with determining which were crap. Then, in safe mode, I deleted those folders and files. SpyAxe is now off my compy. It took me a while today to download, but Spy Sweeper (recommended by Download.com) got rid of a few things I didn't know were even on my machine.
The only problem I have now is my hijacked homepage. It redirects to updateyoursystem.com. The evil sons of bitches won't let me change it back to what I want. I used safe mode again to switch it, and I've deleted temp files, history, cookies, etc. about five or six times in this whole operation. I really think Housecall will fix things, but...yeah...dial up. I'll be calling in some friends who know what they're doing to help me.
Oh, I also sent them a nasty message. Anyone know who to report spyware to?
