If you had bothered to read what I posted, Clinton wasn't convicted of "cheating on his wife".
Clinton was charged with perjury and obstruction of justice. Clinton lied to a grand jury in his deposition. And also obstructed a 40-million-dollar investigation.

In the Paula Jones case, several U.S. District Courts and the Supreme Court found her case substantial enough to recognize and uphold.

In the cases of Whitewater, Vince Foster, Filegate, etc, I believe Clinton was guilty of even more crimes, that simply could not be proven with supporting evidence.

In addition, I listed several other cases involving Democrats, demonstrating Democrats are just as vulnerable to the label "culture of corruption" as the Republicans they've slapped the label on.
If you'd bothered to read them.

As G-man and others have pointed out, Democrats are a substantial part of the "culture of corruption" in the Abramoff scandal as well.

It's October & GOP parisans are afraid that voters might finally pass judgement on what their party has been doing over the years. Basically WB is doing what he's been doing all along but just amped up for the election.

Telling the truth?

That Democrats are manipulating facts in the Foley case to smear the Republican leadership, right before an election?

Say Wonder Boy, maybe you could take a moment & acknowledge your disaproval for Ney. He recently just pleaded guilty for corruption charges & the GOP isn't just not asking for him to resign but they've spent over 3 million to hold his seat.

Convicted Republican Ney resigns from House

By Thomas Ferraro
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican Bob Ney of Ohio resigned from the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday, three weeks after pleading guilty in the Jack Abramoff political corruption scandal.

Ney submitted a letter of resignation, effective immediately, to House Speaker Dennis Hastert, an Illinois Republican who along with other lawmakers had urged him to step down immediately.

Ney had said in August he would not seek re-election to a seventh two-year term in the November 7 elections.

By staying on for a bit longer, he remained eligible to receive his paycheck and benefits, which drew widespread criticism.

Ney was the first lawmaker convicted in the Abramoff influence-peddling scandal, and the fourth House Republican to step down under pressure in the 109th Congress.

Their cases have rocked Republicans as they seek to retain control of the House on Tuesday. Democrats have accused Republicans of "a culture of corruption."

In the race to replace Ney, Democrat Zack Space holds a whopping 58 percent to 33 percent lead over Republican state Sen. Joy Padgett, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

Other corruption-tainted Republicans who left the House were former Republican leader Tom DeLay of Texas, indicted on state campaign finance charges; Randy "Duke" Cunningham of California, convicted of accepting bribes, and Mark Foley of Florida, found to have sent sexually explicit e-mails to former interns.

It probably will continue to go strong as other convictions happen. Ney wanting to get his benefits & couple more paychecks instead of resigning after being convicted helped fill the gap.

Seems to me its a (but not the main) reason why the GOP isn't going to do so well in the mid-terms. The blowover is a little while away yet.

Corruption taints the process, though, not just the party. It cast shame on all lawmakers. Hopefully congress will pass some laws that stomp on people of whatever political leaning who betray the people's trust in such a fashion.

You can count on the Shovel Party to take draconian measures to remain free of corruption!
