FINAL RESOLUTION
SUNDAY JANUARY 15TH 2006
LIVE AND EXCLUSIVE ON PAY-PER-VIEW

MAIN EVENT
Sting & “Captain Charisma” Christian Cage vs. “King of the Mountain” Jeff Jarrett and “The Alpha Male” Monty Brown

All eyes are gonna be on this match. It's Sting's first match back, and it's Christians first TNA ppv main event. The faces have to win, and Christian has to pin Jarrett for this to unfold right. Like everybody else, I'm curious to see how Sting looks and performs. Keep the Alpha Lax out of the ring as much as possible.

Prediction: Christian pins Jarrett, while Sting brawls with the Alpha Lax. Christian should go on to win the title at the next ppv. Unfortunately, this will leave at least another month's worth of Jarrett holding the belt.

X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
Samoa Joe (c) vs. "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels

This match is gonna steal the show. This is the match I'm most looking forward to seeing. Samoa Joe is a badass and Christopher Daniels is (of course) my favorite TNA wrestler. This is gonna rawk.

Prediction: Daniels will hand Joe his first defeat in TNA after a long, brutal match and become a two time X Division champion.

NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
America's Most Wanted (c) vs. Team 3D

The chase should end here. The former Dudleys need to win the belts in this match. Otherwise they run the risk of becoming stale. It's time for this to be put to bed so both teams can move on.

Prediction: Team 3D wins with a 3D through a table. AMW will next feud with the reunited New Age Outlaws. The Duds will feud with Team Canada.

INTERNATIONAL X SHOWCASE
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles vs. New Japan’s Tanahashi

It's hard to say anything about this as I know zip about Tanahashi. I expected Styles to face Shannon Moore here.

Prediction: Moore will interfere giving Tanahashi and New Japan something to brag about. New Japan will send more wrestlers over and eventually AJ will get a win. In the meantime, he'll feud with Shannon Moore.

“The Man Beast” Rhino vs. “The Monster” Abyss w/ James Mitchell

This is gonna be a fight. I do worry that TNA might be killing Rhino. I hope he wins, but I doubt it. Sting's touted Abyss as somebody he wants to work with and I think they'll keep him looking powerful for that feud.

Prediction: Abyss will win and go on to feud with Sting. Rhino will feud with Raven next in an attempt to stay in the title hunt.

Raven vs. An Opponent of Larry Z's Choosing
If Raven wins, he gets World Title shot - If Raven loses, he's gone from TNA

Everyone seems to be of the opinion that Raven's opponent will be Sandman. I really hope not because they've already played that card in TNA and also because they recently fought again at Hardcore Homecoming. I'd rather see Kidman or Perry Saturn or Stevie Richards. Hell, have all of Raven's old flunkies show up and do run ins on him. That would show Zbyszko's sense of strategy, and give those characters some closure.

Something just occurred to me. Raven's opponent could also be Zbyszko. If he steps in the ring and has some of Raven's old flunkies do run ins to help him, that would be classic Larry Z style. Noice.

Prediction: Whoever the opponent, Raven will just barely get the win after a surprise run in. Raven will then demand his title shot, but will have to get past Rhino to get it.

PRESHOW MATCHES:

The Naturals vs. The Latin American Exchange
Not a good sign for the Naturals. Relegated to the pre show against Konnan's new team.

Prediction: The Naturals will lose and this match will kickoff a Naturals/LAX feud.

Team Canada vs. Lance Hoyt, Jay Lethal & Kenny King
More guys relegated to the pre show. Not good for Hoyt to be teaming with jobbers, but his last few tag partners have all left TNA (Kid Kash, Jeff Hardy). Except for Sabu, but he only shows up occasionally.

Prediction: Team Canada wins and Hoyt will feud with them, primarily with Bobby Roode, the TC strongman.

Overall, not a great card, but there's potential for some entertaining stuff. If they can pull off the main event is the big question, but there are also several smaller questions.

Notably, why the absence of so many talented wrestlers on the roster? I know it's hard to fit everyone in, but they could've added a couple more matches.
