Sure it is! If you get in on a good panel it can be hilarious!
My buddy and I took part in Frank Miller and Jim Lee's open question forum. Now I don't care for Miller's art in the least, but...I met him. That's cool. And I got both of them to sign my comics. There was an ongoing joke throughout the panel that had a very pleasing punchline (thanks to me). Right after the panel, the two of them had their signing session. There was a huge line! Thankfully, I didn't have to wait!
