Let me give you a friendly piece of advice. Don't drive. I drove last year with two friends. 22 hours was the commute time. 20.5 hours to drive back. No one should be with anyone for that much time straight. Even if you're married, you still have 6 - 10 hours that you don't see each other due to sleep time.
I love my friends but, by the time we got to the hotel, I was dying to be any distance away from them. Same thing on the drive home.
Train. Plane. But don't drive. I can't imagine how long it'd take from Chicago...
now see, for Doc, Cross, and myself, it's only a six hour drive to Atlanta. just enough time for us to get in the mood for con and shenanigans.
whereas for others, driving is not such a good idea.
