How can you forget Bobby "the Brain" and Gorilla Monsoon?
I also like Mike Tenay simply because that bastard knows EVERYTHING! He's know a lot of wrestlers for most of their careers. I remember watching the Eddie Guerro DVD with a match that WCW co-sponsored with a Mexican promotion in Mexico, and Tenay was there calling it. Then, later, when Eddie was fighting Chavo in the Bash at the Beach Hair vs. Hair match, Tenay references the previous match because it was a Hair vs. Mask match.
I'll tell you two announcers who really surprised me: Konan and Stevie Ray. When WCW put them on the mic after coming off their injuries, I was really surprised how well they did. Konan talked like a pro, knew the moves, and sounded like you'd expect an ex-football or baseball player would call a game. He was much better at the announce table than in the ring, wrestling or on the mic. And Stevie Ray was just fun to listen to. He talked like he thought it was real. "Why would he do that? That makes no sense." I never laughed so hard while watching wrestling.

It tends to put you immediately at a disadvantage and IMO is a sign of true weakness. This is true both in politics and on the internet."
