The Crisis continues to explode across the DCU as a great power is unleashed. But whose side is it on? Witness a shocking confrontation between Batman and Nightwing, a vicious battle that threatens to tear the heroes of the DCU further apart, and a startling change to the recently deceased. Plus, guest appearances by more characters than we can list!

All hell really breaks loose this issue with a fight between both Superboys (Prime and proper), the fate of Bludhaven, and the Spectre's punishment. I saw this issue as the "meat" of the Crisis. No more multiple threats tearing apart the DCU and yadda yadda. Batman seems to finally understand what's going on and talks to Nightwing to get him to help out. Alexander Luthor reveals that he has, in fact, left his "heaven" with Superboy Prime to orchestrate most (if not all) of the events leading up to IC. Also, the DCU's superteams (minus the JLA) take on Superboy Prime. Unfortunately luck doesn't run well with the Flash...all of them...

By the end of the issue, one old hero gets his wish. Or does he?

I have no access to this... how did the battle go?

Isn't Superboy prime significantly more powerful than Kon El?

I personally don't. But I had to do a double take during that bitch fest. I'm waiting for Newsarama's review on the issue. They're often funny and informative. I'm sure they'll give insight as to who got whacked.

What I want to know is who will be the Flash now?

That scene with the B-list Titans was a gorefest! What made Superboy prime evil?

According to Superboy Prime, everyone fighting him made Superboy Prime evil. Still, though... I 'bout crapped my pants when I read all that. Coolest fight in comics in a while.

Because of that scene, this book and Planetary #24 were the highlights of my pick-ups this week...

I don't think he was evil. he was misguided. he was manipulated by Luthor (and possibly Psycho Pirate).

as far as the fight, think about it, he's essentially got the power level of a teenage Silver Age Superman, but with no training. he doesn't know how to pull his punches, so he's knocking people's heads off. in his state of mind, them attacking him causes him to attack, therefore kill, making him evil.

that and the buildup of hormones.

he was crazy, but not really evil.

The scene with the Flashes was pretty moving, especially concerning Bart, but I'm sure he and Wally (plus family) are coming back eventually. If there's indeed a new Flash, I'm guessing it's either Bart (leaving the Speed Force as a grown man), or a composite Flash with all the dudes currently in the Speed Force.

A friend downloaded all the Infinite Crisis stuff from '05 and gave it to me as a late Christmas present.

I didn't get him anything.

It would be interesting if everyone who left with Flash came back 10-15 years older. That would put Bart in a perfect position to take over the Flash mantle, while the twins could become the new Kid Flashes. The only problem, of course, would be that it would leave Wally with nothing...and we couldn't have that.

I wish after the Crisis they released a title where E-2 Superboy just flew around the universe accidentally killing 90% of the DC encyclopedia of chracters. Each in its own creative an expoitative way.

You know, after twenty years of increasingly bloodthirsty comic books, premised on yet another "crisis," carried out over multiple titles in multiple months, I just don't care any more.

Off the top of my head, since the original crisis we've seen:

    Legends
    Invasion
    Underworld Unleashed
    Zero Hour
    the Death of Superman
    No Man's Land
    Knightfall
    Emerald Twilight
    Night on Earth
    Hell on Earth
    Bloodlines
    the Kingdom
    Identity Crisis

And probably a half dozen more "crises" I can't remember.

Its just so damn repetitive and boring.

The other Superboy (the one with Luthor's DNA) went berserk in Titans a few months ago.

And, of course, Superman went berserk under Max Lord's mind control before that.

And, let's face it, the "beserk Superboy" bit was done first, and done better, by Alan Moore waaaaay back in Miracleman twenty years ago.

So. What you're saying is that repeated unoriginality is excusable as long as they mix and match the tired old bits in a slightly different way or lump multiple cliches into the same story?
