You apparently missed the words "or contended for" at the top of my first post on this thread;for the sake of variety(and chronological comprehensiveness),I made the decision early on to include at least two teams that made it to the big dance but didn't home a Lombardi Trophy.One of them was the Seahawks;the other was the 1994 San Diego Chargers,who lost to San Francisco in Super Bowl 29.Next year's tournament will,of course,be adjusted to reflect the results of Super Bowl 40.
