a group of C list Marvel characters have broken away from a shield splinter group (H.A.T.E.-Highest Anti Terrorism Effort), to investigate the nefarious Beyond Corporation, when Fin Fang Foom (he has no genitalia to speak of and wears purple underpants) decides to go on a rampage.
clearly, Ellis and Immonen have broken into Grant Morrison's stash of mind altering substances and are having a blast. hilarious stuff.

I was really looking forward to this book, but I didn't really dig it...Of course, I read it at work while I was struggling to stay awake, so either it just didn't make much sense to me or re-reading the same lines over and over again because I was dozing off really screwed me up...

Ellis has turned Elsa Bloodstone from a Buffy knockoff into a mix of Jakita Wagner and Emma Frost. very nice. if the rest of the series maintains the out of whack tone of this issue, it could be one of my new favorites.

I was wondering who Elsa Bloodstone was, then Grimm inspired the memory of a mini series a few years back. It wasn't very good.
