so, i've always had a pretty strong policy against adding any kind of money-generating ad to this site, mostly just because i hate money-generating ads. they're annoying, they get in the way, they can slow down pages, whatever.
...but...
with some recent changes in my life, i've decided i'd revisit the notion. figured i'd ask all of you what you think.
would you treat the boards differently if there was an ad on the top of the page? or the side? both?

'long as the ads weren't of the noisy or horribly obtrusive variety, I don't imagine I'd mind too much.
If possible, make 'em pertain to the content of the boards, y'know.
I mean, chances are we won't take notice of the content of the ads, but we'll definitely know they're there.

Eh I'm all for making some money but.... I already have enough problems with this place -none of the skins have easy-to-read fonts/colors for me. i i find myself either customizing my browsers settings or using JAWS: screen reader alot, which is already a huge bitch tabbing around and what not. and it reading an ad or getting past it is just another bloody ass probe but really, as long as there's no pop ups or annoying singing hamsters i'm happy.
And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. He never got the spirit of the RKMBs. We're gonna keep an eye on the obits, see if he finally left or if he really did have a heart attack.
