Don't know any others right off hand.
There is no version of this where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes, and maybe it’s too much for us, but it’s all on you. Because if we can’t protect the Earth, you can be damn well sure we’ll avenge it.
Hello? Put Natasha on the phone. Who is this? This is her fucking son's father. Who is this? This is her fucking son. ..........oh....... Call back in 20 minutes. *click*

I wish he was still alive. Everyone would have realized how mediocre nirvana is. His death is the reason they still get tons of airplay.

Sublime sucks. They always have and always will. I really hate this trend of mediocre to horrible bands having their lead singers kill themselves to get more popular.

even if he had lived and produced mediocre stuff, the stuff played now, or what would be considered their early stuff would still be excellent. look at pearl jam. excellent, but what have they done in 10 years. and their stuff is still awesome from the earlier years. though to have cobain back, i would have to give up the foo fighters. and i like this band too much.

Cliff Burton. Definitely. he was the best thing about Metallica.
as much as I like Morrison's music, he'd pretty much peaked out. while it's a shame the way he went, you almost have to think that if he had lived longer that he would've just continued on his downward spiral or degenerated into a parody. or both.
Jimi Hendrix.
Stevie Ray Vaughn.

I say the same thing about people loving the Doors.

correct sir!
but, seriously, nirvana was great, and foo fighters was the evolution of david grohl, and they have put out awesome stuff, both serious and humorous. i wouldn't sacrifice that for nirvana maybe stayin hot, or maybe going downhill. and, again, pariah, read further when i said excellent, then went down hill. tell me alive, jeremy, black, not for you, betterman, daughter, elderly woman behind the counter in a small town (whew) are not excellent. those are just off 3 early cd's right quick of the top of my head

Amen! Pearl Jam kicks ass!
On the whole, though, I think that most bands tend to go down hill after a while. Nirvana and the Doors probably would have hit a slump because most of the other bands of their times hit slumps. That happens in the music industry.

I would have liked to see Elvis stay alive, if only on the chance that he would have hooked up with a guy like Rick Rubin for a comeback, ala Johnny Cash.
That, and the fact you know he would have shot Michael Jackson dead for marrying his daughter.

John Lennon
Then I wouldn't have to endure all the John Lennon Anniversary shit on my birthday.
And yeah, for all the other reasons it'd be nice for John to have lived.

It would have been nice if John had lived simply so that he could have dumped Yoko and spared us her b.s. over the past 25 years.

But he wouldn't have dumped her.
And what b.s. of hers are you talking about? The stuff between her and McCartney? Much ado about nothing.

By b.s., I mean Yoko spending the past 25 years living off Lennon's legacy for her own self promotion.
And, you are right, there was no guarantee Lennon would have dumped her. I was simply saying I wish he'd lived if only to have done so.

i would have liked to hear how elvis' sound changed, and if not, new stuff along the line of his classics. much like stevie, it's classic, and HIS music growing and changing would be alot better than imitators

Elvis changing and evolving would have been great, but Elvis had a long period in his career were he was a fat parody of his former glory. Elvis did pull off a damn good comeback, but I always wonder if he would have tanked again if left to his own devices.

Yeah, he probably would have had several lapses and amazing comebacks. Like I said earlier, almost everyone has a lapse in their career if they stick with it long enough.
