I've alwayse viewed the Oscars as being the same as the Yearbook Comitee in High-Schhol. It's where all the self=proclaimed popular kids sit arround and give themselves awards.




I honestly doubt the president said what you say he said. Your powers of interpratation can be dazzling. If it matters I'm sure you sincerely feel that is what he meant & I'll even try to check out a transcript when one comes available.

There are over 6000 members of the Academy. Most of them won't ever see an Oscar so I don't see how even the yearbook comparison is realistic.
