Actually - and God help me here, I think this post heralds the Endtimes - I agree with Nowhereman. Say what you will about 80s glam-metal (and, in many cases, you're right), but Motley Crue was a great metal band. You can point to "Without You" and "Home Sweet Home" as cheesy ballads (in the case of HSH, screw you, that's a good song), but I'll match you with "Looks That Kill", "Too Young To Fall In Love", and the whole damn Dr. Feelgood album as examples of how hard they can rock. Micky Marrs is an underrated guitarist, Nikki Syxx is a solid bassist, and Tommy Lee is one of the top five drummers of the time.

So there...let the Apocalypse begin.
