I like the Red Sox' chances (no WAY!!!). The defense and bullpen, two major trouble spots last year, looks to be shored up. The starting pitching can be as dominant as any other starting five (and I can't wait to see a staff of Schilling, Beckett, Papelbon, Clement, and Lester as soon as this summer or as late as 2007). While the offense may not score as many runs as the past couple of years, they'll still be competitive with the best 3-4 punch in the AL. Wily Mo will spell Nixon and provide another solid bat in the line-up. Lowell will improve over last season. and Coco...what can I say about our new infielder? Comparable numbers to Damon, better defense (did anyone see his catch yesterday? w00t!!!), and SIX years younger!

The AL East is a tough three-team division, but Toronto and New York have enough question marks to make this season interesting.
