I'm guessing your basing this statment on Dombrowski trading for Jeremy Bonderman? Because I can't recall any good ones. I guess he did trade for Brad Penny with the Marlins back in '99.
I don't know if the Tigers have much in the way of trade bait. They have a few bad contracts, mostly on aging, injury-riddled guys. Developing pitching from within may be their only safe bet. A rotation of Bonderman, Verlander and Zumaya wouldn't be too shabby.
