I think the Christian Cage and Dudleys defections may have alot to do with this. Some of their main concerns were that if they weren't gunna get big money, then they would rather have a lighter schedule. This could accomadate guys who are burned out on the road till they are ready to go back full time.



Theres already talk that a lot of old ECW guys will only work part time schedules for ECW, so thats another thing that indicates this is being formulated as the TNA direct competition!

Dont forget, when Sting has been approached by WWE, one of the key things that put them off was his insistance on being part time, as they never liked the idea of part timers!
Thats obviously gone out the window with the ECW brand as they blatantly wanna follow the format that TNA has taken. (I dont include Undertaker in this part time thingee as he was already a WWE talent when he took the step down)
