so, a few years ago, mahon did a promo (and i don't exactly recall what reason he made the promo) about, basically, saving ecw and retro-actively citing himself as the financial supporter of ecw in its final few years -- even before it, publically, became a wwe name brand.

now, certainly, mahon is a master at re-creating his own history ... but is there any truth to what he said?
