i admire the film taking some major chances (xavier, cyclops, and jean dying -- mystique and perhaps magneto losing powers, etc) i think its pretty damn cool they risked that much with such established characters.


Xavier's alive according to the post-credits scene and magneto seems to have gotten his powers back. I bet that Leech drug isn't permanent just long lasting enough to seem so.
