Ariel AKA Warp said: The extra money for it goes to a scholarship at the school Sam Loeb went to. If you objected to it, you shouldn't have bought it. You knew all along that it was drawn/written by 26 different people. It's not as if this is the first and only book to be delayed, at least there was a legitimate reason for it this time.
I thought it was a good story, especially the second story. It really got to me because I had a 17 yr old friend die when I was in high school too.
Well, what you think I 'know' and and what I know are two different things.
FTR, I had forgotten about the whole 'tribute' deal, and thought it was the next issue. It was in my stack for the week, and this title's been on the cusp of getting cut for a while.
As for a legitimate reason, fuck that. People die, lives move on. If they wanted a book out on time, have fill-ins. But wait... they won't do fill-ins because it's {insert artist/writer team HERE}... and when they do finally have a fill-in, it's some nepotism-inspired dreck pandering to the regular team. But, I suppose it's a more sure-thing than trying to do the same thing through the Make A Wish Foundation.
He was 17? Well, I'd say the story read more like a 12-year-old wrote it. Disjointed donkey droppings.
Maybe if Justice #11 starts to run late, it'll be alright if Alex Ross' autistic albino near-death brother does the art in crayons.
