While I'll fully admit I think the idea of the kid is a bad one, I also admit that I think there is a lot going for this movie and,in fact, have been trying to talk Mrs G into seeing it this weekend.

If I wanted this film to fail, why would I be trying to talk someone into seeing it?

Re-reading the articles I posted on the "trailer" thread, there are positive articles, negative articles and nuetral articles posted by me.

There are points where I say I think Singer may have effed up (the kid) and points where I say I think Singer may have handled things quite well (Spacey, the music, the use of the "it's a bird..."). But hardly has "pretty much everything " I've posted been negative.

OTOH, looking through your posts on the same thread, it looks like everything you posted was "it has to be good, I know it'll be good, this is Bryan Singer, how can it not be good."
