Actually, Netflix's business model is to put mom n' pop video stores out of business, reduce consumer choice and jack up their prices when people don't have anyplace else to turn. They've more or less said so in industry publications.
I really don't get why people rent old movies for 4-6 bucks when they can own them for ten bucks or less.
