If you're going to read Patterson, then I suggest you only read the Alex Cross novels. The last few books Patterson has put out have been utter crap - its become clear that he is just riding on his former reputation and no longer puts any effort into his books. Its a shame, too, as he used to be a good writer.
I'm about halfway through Cradle and all right now, Its a decent read but all the out dated pop culture references are driving me crazy.
