I don't mind tangents, or elipses either, but bragging about being ignorant bugs the heck out of me. I've been on more than a few forums where going off on a tangent is the norm, hell, my sites are like that. But we don't normally parade our stupidity as if it's a badge of honor. Sorry Nowhereman, it's a pet peeve, stupid people bug the hell out of me. If you're not stupid then I apologize, but if you are, you won't know the difference anyway.

So basically, get off topic and stay off it, gotcha. Not a problem.

Hmmm.. But the topic was interesting damnit! Oh well. Okay, Beardguy, I've got an author you need to check out, his name is Jack McDevitt. You'd love this guy's stuff. It covers a lot of the things you find fascinating. Lots of alien archeological stuff. Lost civilizations on distant worlds and what-not. I've read two series by the guy, one starts with a book called "The Engines of God", it's 4 novels long. The other I've only read the 2nd and 3rd book of, Polaris & Seeker, there are 3 books, I just ordered the first one from ebay, didn't even know it existed, so you could read them out of order.

The second one seemes more my cup of tea but the other one is something you might like more though, both are good stuff.
