Everytime someone posts a thread about corporations doing ANYthing that may seem the slightest bit controversial, the normal outcry from posters occurs that it's unreasonable, ridiculous, and basically bullshit. As, you know, they should. And as, you know, expected. Otherwise, there's no point in posting the article here in the first place, because if it didn't cause some kind of reaction, it would be pointless.
What I find highly amusing, however, is seeing how long it takes for someone to come into the thread and drop "the bomb" of an explanation that whatever has occurred is, in some way, profitable and beneficial to the corporation doing it.
No.
Fucking.
Shit.
Einstein.
As if there were EVER any other explanation to it. As if this were some enlightening moment for all of us, that may have originally believed martians were behind it, because, you know, our simple minds cannot possibly work out that it might have to do with money. OF COURSE it's about money! OF COURSE it's about the "bottom line"!
D'UH!Was the entire point of creating threads like these simply to remind us of that point? If not, then, of course everyone is going to express some form of outrage and discomfort over the point,
even though (and watch this carefully)...
even though...they already
know it's all about money.
GASP!!! SHOCK!!! AWE!! No! It can't be!! Say it ain't so!! That's impossible! People that express shock, outrage, or discomfort cannot possibly understand why things must occur. They can only react with emotion and wait for more rational and intelligent people to come along to explain it to them.
How can this be happening? Why would a business do anything at all? Someone, please...please enlighten us as to the cause!
