Beginning tomorrow Wednesday, August 23 through September, free Apollo Bars will be handed out in select locations of the US, UK, Australia and Asia, while supplies last that is. For the uninitiated, M. David Benson, the founder of the Apollo Candy Company, which manufactures and distributes the Apollo Bar, developed the Apollo Bar chocolate bar in the US in the 1960s. The Apollo Candy Company, now a unit of The Hanso Group, helped revive the company after falling on financial troubles in the 1970s. The Apollo Candy Company will distribute free Apollo Bars in US cities including NY, LA, Washington DC, and Chicago.
