I've only read some of his comics but I think he's perfect for the show. He can add suspense to the show, something that has been lacking lately. This has gotten me excited about the show again.

Which they shouldn't have to do. There's tons of stuff they can reveal and still keep interest in the show. Thats why they have so many characters. They just need to cut out all the soap opera crap and stick to the good stuff.

the only thing i didn't like was that last week's episode was just a regular episode. they did nothing to justify the several-month delay.

This show started going downhill after they blew the lid off hatch in the first place.

As a person who rarely watches tv, I often miss shows like this, but if the concept intrigues me, I will often pick up a series on DVD to see whether its any good. (if it isnt, I can just resell the boxset).
Now with Lost, I been hearing its all about mysteries and conspiracies etc, which has definetly piqued my interest, but one thing from the clips I have seen that really interests me is quite possibly the biggest mystery in the whole show.
Why the fuck hasnt that long haired fat cunt lost weight since being on the island?

Also, very obsese people who start to starve often find that they dont lose much weight at first because their metabolism changes to compensate for the quick loss of nutrients.
Finally, there's the fact that the island has been established as having some sort of effect on certain people's metabolisms: Locke regaining the use of his legs and, later, his accelerated healing factor, Charlie's quick kick of his heroin addiction, the black lady's cancer, etc. Whose to say it isn't also affecting Hurley, keeping him from a drastic weight loss.

I'd say probably the best so far this season - relevant flashback, the solving of one of the "island mysteries," and a nice little twist at the end. Not up to Season One standards, but still, not bad.

The other day I met a Lost Uber-Geek who told me some interesting things he's noticed about the show:
- Jack's dad goes to Australia to meet his daughter. The woman who tells him to fuck off is Claire's mother. Therefore, Jack is Claire's brother.
- The real "Sawyer", the man who conned Sawyer's mom and indirectly caused her to kill her husband and herself (right? or something like that) is the guy who also played Kate's dad.
- The first thing we see in the first episode is Jack's face as we wakes up in the beach, right after the crash. If you pause the image, you can see the weird black bee-like stuff reflected in his eyes.
- The tail of the airplane has the Dharma Initiative logo.
- When we see Jin and Sun standing in the airport and she accidentally spills something on his shirt, when they leave you can see someone who looks exactly like Jin standing in the background.
- One of the guys in the antactic station at the end of season 2 looks exactly like Jack, if you look carefully.
The guy thinks these last three "facts" mean that everyone in the island is a clone. I kinda buy the first two (I'd heard the first somewhere else), but I'm not sure about the others. Unfortunately, I can't be arsed to check the episodes for any of these things.
