Did you notice the fake name Locke's dad was using in the flashback was "Sewar"? That's pretty close to Sawyer.

it seemed like they forgot to plan an episode for one week, and then just threw this one together about characters that barely exist

I liked the episode. It was fun going back over their island experience and their secret actions, and the ending was a perfect twilight zone-esque punishment for their murder and greed.
And I liked Sawyer saying "who the hell are you" at several points as a nod to fans.

I liked when she said "I hope we won't end up like them" while talking about Boone and Shannon, and then they ended up exactly like them: buried.
I also liked her tits at the beginning.

And I'd definitely watch a Leslie Arntz spin-off.

Some days urg makes me proud to be his friend. Then there are the days that he steals my beer and fucks my woman. Somedays he gets that backwards.-Lothar

"Those were good days. Sitting around the campfires, eating dinosaur meat, and clubbing our wimmens in the head. I dream of those days sometimes. When Urg would make speeches and lead us to victory over the neighboring tribes. Good days, man. Good days." -Grimm

Mrs G and I just finished watching the ep and I find myself in one of those rare moments where I am in complete agreement with Adler.

I also appreciated the fact that the ep was, in some ways, a nod to Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead

Not only did they tie-up loose ends, but, it seems the creators were listening to fandom when it comes to adding two new characters. They just said "Fuck it", and killed their ass. And, yeah, the buried-alive bit was awesome...

Lost Boss Explains Last Night's Double Demise
SPOILER ALERT for those who DVR/"videotape" Lost for later playback.... That the producers decided to kill off much-maligned castaways Nikki and Paulo on this week's episode may not have been a shock to fans. But how the greedy, murderous pair died provided one of the biggest twists — and thrills — of the season. (After being paralyzed by spider bites, the not-so-dynamic duo were buried alive — albeit unwittingly — by Sawyer and Hurley.) "People hated them before they even opened their mouths to say anything significant because it felt like they were crashing the party," exec producer Damon Lindelof acknowledges of the characters who were abruptly introduced last fall. "The easiest thing would have been to just write them out and forget they ever happened, like the cougar on [Season 2] of 24. But that's not Lost. We should at least own up to it."

Kiele Sanchez wasn't bothered by the criticism directed at Nikki and reveled in going out with a bang, yet wasn't too crazy about filming the burial scene: "I am horribly claustrophobic — I can't even have a blanket over my face — so I didn't have to do a lot of acting. I was genuinely terrified." — Reporting by Shawna Malcom

So..........I just got caught up with the last couple episodes.

I think they show has gotten good again. I got the same old feeling of "I can't wait to see next weeks episode" again. Hurley is still the best written character on the show, we finally found out how Locke was paralyzed (fucking awesomely and worth the wait), more things are made clear and everything has seemed to get back on track after the whole miniseries fiasco.

I think Locke is being a selfish douche. He's trying to ruin everything for the survivors. How long it is until everyone turns against him?

I once did a diet of fruit and veggies and walking for a month and lost 30 pounds. Hurley said they've been there 3 months, he walks all over the island, and eats nothing but fruit and limited amount of meat (a boar split among 40 people isn't that much).
He should always be shitting due to the high fiber, and should've dropped a noticable amount of weight.

I think its very possible that Locke will end up as the series' "big bad" and might even end up taking over as leader of the Others.

I've been saying for a while that Locke will join the others. I don't know if they are evil, it could be that they are being manipulated by an evil person.

J.J. Abrams did the same thing with Alias so its likely he's doing it again.

I personally think the Others might be the 'good guys' they claim to be. I think most of that'll come to light when we meet the ever-elusive 'Jacob'...

there's the theory that Jack's father is involved or in charge of the Others/Dharma/whatever.
This is based on his connection to 4 (so far) of the people on the plane, and also that his coffin was empty.

Desmond coaxes Charlie, Hurley and Jin on a trek across the jungle after experiencing one of his future-prophesizing “flashes” -- but is he purposely placing Charlie’s life in harm’s way? Meanwhile, Kate turns to an unwitting Sawyer after seeing Jack alone with Juliet. Guest starring are Sonia Walger as Penny Widmore, Jack Maxwell as Derek, Joanna Bool as Ruth, Andrew Connolly as Brother Campbell, Andrew Trask as older monk and Marsha Thomason as parachutist.

According to the rumor sites something "fairly momentous" is going to happen tonight. I'm just glad they're going to have another Desmond centric episode.

Hey! I have a great idea. Lets have Desmond have a vision of something, make us think someone will die or someone from Desmonds past show up. That will be huge!

Or they could tease all of that and in the end have something not nearly as exciting.

the note Charlie played on his guitar is the same note in a song that was on a radio in one of the first season episodes.
