Speaking of Paul Winfield, yes, he is the only ..was the only openly gay man on the list..agreed..he was VERY underappreciated...He lived with a man for 18 years or so..a white guy who was a set designer.. .the man..first name was Charles, who died in 2002..Paul himself died on March 7, 2004..I was in shock! I'd watch anything he was in, just to see him.. It was said he died from a heart attack, but a broken heart is more like it.

Paul collected figures of bull dogs, and had several of them he raised and showed, attending many dog shows.

Paul did seem like a good person. I had a plan to call him one time, as I, too, lost a partner of many years..I lost my nerve, though. I am certain even the gay stars have a discreet outlet for meeting men.
