You make some good points. Certainlly Clinton had his failings, but there's a few points you forget. 1994-Republicans take Congress and give him shit for 5 years over bin Laden being nothing more than a boogeyman. Currently patriotic, pro-war Sean Hannity of Fox News among others brutalized Clinton for trying to "distract" America from the Lewinsky scandal and called for his impeachment. (The same Sean Hannity who said in 2003 that anyone questioning a president during wartime was guilty of treason). 2000-Clinton received warning about plots for terrorist acts for the millenium (which was actually 2001, but people thought it was 2000. remember y2k? anyway...) and he tightened security and caught them.
