I didn't read the article but also of note is that there were only 6000 people in attendance.....what a shame.
Beckett has the tools to be one of the greats....but he never will become great. He has a horrible work ethic and an even worse workout regime(None....except beer) he will always be one of those guys that you would always wonder how great he could have been? Kind of like Gooden if he never did drugs. Yes he was great.....but he would have been even greater.
And Ani you keep saying over and over ..."Oh so and so wasn't supposed to be any good cause of his minor league record." that doesn't always mean anything. There are intangibles that stats can't predict and sometimes only being given an opportunity is the only way to see how some of the youngsters will do.
And yes the Marlins have been extremely fortunate over the years. Can you imagine that they might fire Girardi this year????
