So around eleven this morning there was a 5.8 earthquake (I have no clue what that number means) in the Gulf of Mexico. We felt it here, although me and my mom mistook it for the A/C turning on.

This sucks. The whole reason I live in Florida was because:

a) no snow

b) no earthquakes

If we get a blizzard this winter, I'm moving!

The Earth must be pissed because the humans are wrecking it anyway...

Glad the 'quake was not a bad one, CJ!

I wonder if it had anything to do with the drilling?

I sure hope not, but I'm sure some wacko environmentalists will say it was cause of that.

I live in South Florida, and was very surprised to hear the news of a mild earthquake just a few hundred miles offshore almost dead center in the Gulf of Mexico.

I saw it on the news at 11:00 PM, but I didn't feel a thing.

I agree with you on the reasons to live in Florida, C J.
And besides, without earthquakes, we still have hurricanes and tornadoes.
Isn't that enough ?
