Seriously, I just beat Halo 2 for the second time, and I love it. I was forced to play this game by my brother and my brother-in-law, and then, only for the Multiplayer. Once I realized I kicked their asses, I started playing single-player. And then it was hooked.
It's plot isn't as far-reaching as KOTOR or Jade Empire, but then again, it doesn't have to be. Before I even had the X-Box, some guy-friend said "You'd like this game. It has aliens and zombies." Of course, I really don't like a lot of alien movies, and I don't think I ever liked a zombie movie, so I dismissed the whole thing.
And now, I've got three soundtracks, two video games, and I'm seriously thinking of buying the books. And my roommate? I got her hooked too. I'm so evil like that. I e-mailed her the trailer for the third one, and she was asking if I thought Cortana was going to hook up with Master Chief.
(Yes, I'm such a girl. We're over there shooting aliens' brains out, and she made that Master Chief left Cortana at the station.)
And I really recommend the trailer. Go check it out. The best part is the music. That's one of the best video game themes, and adding trumpets instead of just the guitar or strings really makes it enjoyable. And Cortana's creepiness. That was awesome too.

I haven't played 2 yet, but I was pleasantly surprised with the first Halo. Especially the first time you see the Flood. Scared the bejesus out of me. Though I just can't seem to beat the goddamn game on Legendary mode.

Thats about as far as I got in the single player mode, I could never make it across that damn flashing on and off bridge. The first Halo was all about the multiplayer for me. I used to spend hours getting my ass kicked by friends. I have Halo 2. Tried it for a couple minutes the other day but never really gave it a try.

Beating Legendary certainly wasn't easy. But the extra ending was definitely worth it in my opinion.

I could never beat it on Legendary. I always got stuck on the beach part when you're looking for that map thing.

The PC version of Halo 1 "supposedly" will run on my computer. I might pick it up someday.

The entire multiplayer thing has its appeal. Some friends of mine do it on a huge plasma screen. Yet to try it myself.

I downloaded the demo for the PC version and it ran great on my computer. I'll probably but the full version sometime this week.

There will be a major announcement about Halo 3 later this week. They will most likely announce a release date and a demo or news on the demo.

You can now register for the online beta multiplayer version of halo 3. http://www.halo3.com/They're will also be a new commercial shown on MNF in about an hour. It will be online shortly after that.
