3)Wein/Wrightson SWAMP THING 1-10 (1972-1974), available in the SWAMP THING: DARK GENESIS trade
4) Alan Moore/Steve Bissette/John Tottleben's SWAMP THING 21-50 and Annuals, all available in trade collections, spread across 4 volumes (1983-1987)

Morrison's New X-men is really quite enjoyable, I just read it all recently and liked it.
Peter David's run on pretty much anything going back to his Hulk days.
Sandman of course.
Mike Carey's Lucifer.
Transmetropolitan.
Preacher.
Rucka's Tec run and Brubaker's Batman run were great.
Kesel's Superboy run was pretty fun.
Messner-Loebs Impulse run was also enjoyable.
Dixon's Robin and Nightwing were solid reads.
Bow ties are coool.

Saw something on another thread that made me think of this.
Hitman by Ennis and Mcrea. Beginning to end, one of the best series I've ever read. Funny as hell but also the odd poignant moment to really make it hit home. Definitely worth picking up on e-Bay...even if you pay close to cover price. Most of the run is in trades.
Transmetroploitan was also a good one.
