Shit. Remind me tomorrow to look up those numbers. And the ones for the other board.

~NUMBERS:

0 - 10^-44 seconds
Temp: ?
The laws of physics do not apply

10^-44 - 10^-35 seconds
Temp: 10^32 K
Forces of physics unified (gravity indistinguishable from magentism, for example)

10^-35 - 10^-32 seconds
Temp: 10^27 K
Inflationary model -very rapid expansion of space (note: not stuff IN space)

10^-32 - 10^-6 seconds
Temp: 10^13 K
Radiation dominated
Quarks and Anti-quarks collide and annihilate each other, thus, probably a small excess of matter... like, one part per billion. not exact pairing of matter & anti-matter

10^-6 - 1 seconds
Temp: 10^10 K
Protons, anti-protons, and neutrons form

1 - 5 seconds
Temp: 5 x 10^9 k
Electrons and Positrons form

3 - 4 minutes
Temp: 10^9 k
nuclei of H, He, and Li form
76% H
24% He
<1% Li

1/2 billion years
Temp: 5,000 K
Matter dominated, neutral atoms forming, gravity starts to 'clump' matter

1 billion years (???)
Temp: 15 K
dark matter clumps together, first formation of stars and galaxies

3 billion years
Temp: ?
Quasars dominate

10 - 20 billion years
Temp: 3 K

Why doesn't the gravity of the universe cause itself to implode on itself?

Is it because there is enormous mass on the edges of the expanding universe, causing the universe to keep stretching? In other words, the centre of gravity is actually the edges?

Or is it because there is an anti-gravity mass at the centre of the universe? God's trampoline?

The big bang was big. It doesn't collapse because the initial explosive force won't let it. Plus something seems to be accelerating the expansion, often attributed to dark matter and a fluctuating cosmological constant. God I love saying that.

The three isotopes of hydrogen are Protium, Deuterium and Tritium.

Oh how wonderful. Chemistry. What's your point? I was just showing how the percentages of the universe were in the beginning are about identical to how they are now. Reassuring AND interesting.

Fat chance is sarcastic, thus meaning generally the opposite of said phrase. Slim chance is more direct and less flippant, thus stating the truth of the statement. "Fat chance" is often preceeded by some sort of plosion or scoff (ie pffft!).

Yes. But, technically, you won't get wet ever. Hell, you're completely alone. Completely. Will never have any contact with anything or anyone, even your own self. The pressures you feel is the electric repulsion of atoms. The whole world is repulsed by you. You even repulse yourself. There. That's it. The truth. I hope you're happy.

Yes I did. I'm a scientist. Everything I do is in a scientific manner. You just might not be of a scientifically-sophisticated enough mind to scientifically detect that.

If and when gasoline no longer becomes an economically feasible method of fueling, what shall we turn to as it's replacement? Solar power? Electric? Other?

The hydrogen fuel seems quite economical. Combining that with the road-reading magnetic technology, I think the environment would improve in cities, there would be less traffic accidents, and generally more money in the coffers.

What does reality really look like? Is it colorless? Are the waves flying around visible and stuff? Is it possible that there are gnomes running around and poking at us with sticks but we can't percieve them?

Everyone lives in their own universe. Where the majority or universes agree, that is reality. Reality is a figment of society. If you ment reality as your perceptions, that is purely consequential. Given a skilled enough biologist, your brain could be rewired so you literally heard colors or tasted sound. Reality is just what we all agree upon. We must be SO DULL. I mean, LOOK at this shit!

But how would a completely objective observant percieve reality (or whatever you wanna call it)? And is the gnomes thing possible? Sometimes I feel something poking at my legs and I can't think of any other explanation than unpercievable gnomes messing with me.

There are magical places in every state where people can go and live in that sort of reality. Thet's kinda one of the definitions of crazy. Your personal universe doesn't agree enough with the accepted norm "reality."

Is it possible that what we perceive as reality is just a hologram?

If our brain power continues to grow, what are the chances that our descendants will evolve massive arse-shaped heads to accommodate their expanding minds?
If this does happen will anyone ever get laid again?
