The version of Goldrush that Chaz narrated is the re-edited version. Try the one that is truely silent. At the end he and the leading lady Georgia get real close and then in real life had a bad bad relationship - then Charlie Chaplin went back and re-did it, cutting the "sweet" ending short and dubbing his voice over it (to better attract the newer talkies audiances).
