For those of you that don't know, I manage a jewelry store. I've been in the industry for about 15 years.
Every day, I meet people who know fuck all about jewelry, diamonds in particular. People go searching on the internet for info about diamonds and come away knowing less than when they started.
Anyhow, I briefly answered some questions over at Dave's MBs quite some time ago and it occurred to me that it might be useful if you guys had a resource to get honest answers and good advice for your next (or first) purchase of a piece of jewelry for that special someone.
I know that at least some of you actually have wives and/or girlfriends so I figured some of you may need some help. Especially if you are thinking about getting engaged or have a special anniversary or birthday coming up. Christmas is just around the corner, ya know...
If you have any serious questions about gold or platinum jewelry with diamonds, color stone stuff, or just diamonds in general post 'em here. and I'll check in periodically and answer them the best I can.
I figured this was the best forum for this as typically jewelry is purchased for women. One of the mods may want to sticky the thread.
