Sweetheart, I never said I didn't watch Smallville. I cite it as the example that taught me my lesson on this tripe they try and feed us. Also, I would have no room to cite it, or talk, if I hadn't watched it. And, just so we're clear, I only watched the first two years. That was when I was certain the teen-angst and the horrible acting of Lana wasn't going to change.

Ah... yes, now I remember. You didn't have cable for Season 3, so you had Rowe tape it for you.

You were watching it. You were liking it (minus the Lana bits). And you were gay for Michael Rosenbaun. Admit it.

While you're at it, feed me that line again about how The Gilmore Girls had great dialogue.

The reason LOST wobbled in the second season is an apparent and noted phenomenon that causes all shows to sink.....Jeph Loeb. Once Loeb joins any show, it generally gets sick. That's a fact, jack. One that I'm certain you recognize as true.

If Lost had the plan and drive to continue on for a second season, Loeb would never have been hired. His being hired is proof that that show shot its load in the first season and that the writers/creators didn't know where else to take it.

I never saw or heard that the Battlestar mini was aired on NBC. When did that happen? And, the fact that you compare this to Surface, and the 4400, as a reason for it to happen, just reinforces my opinion all the more. They should get fucking original and stop trying to water down the genre with generic retakes on their own material.

NBC showed the Battlestar mini right before the first season started to try and push viewers over to Sci-Fi to watch it.

The fact is that even if you don't like Heroes it's already been a success for NBC. The word of mouth alone from critics and viewers who saw it before the premiere via the web or ComicCon generated enough interest to sell ad time for it at a nice rate as well as draw in curious viewers. I see this more as NBC taking chances again with genre material like they did with V in the 80's.

Besides, I think the only reason you don't like it is because it's exactly the kind of story you'd write for TOMB or Vanguard if given the chance.

I honestly know you're joking, and I honestly want to laugh. But, I don't get it. How would I want to write anything like that?

It tends to put you immediately at a disadvantage and IMO is a sign of true weakness.
This is true both in politics and on the internet."
