My predictions:
a. Now that the "bad guys" have the pre-cog, they'll continually feed him more drugs and use him to glimpse the future. I figure this is the only way to utilize his shows in the power without justifying drug use. Also, this will make the bad guys seem more bad, at least in the beginning.
b. The radioactive man will be the key to the explosion. His death will release the bomb. The only way to stop this, of course, is to prevent his death. At some point he'll be too dangerous to get close to and "diffuse"... unless of course you have the power of regeneration to protect you. Or you're a medical nurse who could pull that power and use it to save him without succumbing to radiation poisoning.
c. The one to die will be the mother, Niki. If her story follows the story of Stephanie Maas/Critical Maas, who she is quite obviously modeled after, her good side will sacrifice herself (and her bad side too) to save someone/someones/the world from her evil side. Guilt will play a huge factor and it will be ubertragic since we know her son and husband.
d. The technopath and his dad will become integral in getting the radioactive guy out of jail. The irony of the dad breaking back into jail will not be lost on the writers.
More predictions after I actually see this week's episode.
Yes!

Also, Hiro might likely use his powers to stop time and get people out of harms way. If he succeeds with this week's task, the good memory girl would be key to remembering...whatever it is that needs remembering. Otherwise, Weds, I do believe you're spot on.

I believe Eden has some kind of mind control power, which she seems reluctant to use, but will if Mr. Bennett commands it. There was the close-up of her whispering to Isaac, and this exchange from two weeks ago while talking about Mohinder....
Eden: I asked him to stay. Bennett: Please. You and I both know you can do a lot better than that.
It was something to that effect. On it's own, it doesn't seem to mean much. Given tonight's episode, however....

Oh, I forgot Mr. Bennett!
e. Mr. Bennett will eventually align with the good guys. There are two reasons I believe this: 1) "Save the cheerleader" will be a goal common to both he and the good guys and 2) They've never actually shown him doing anything truly evil--mysterious yes, evil no.

Solid, solid episode.
It lived up to its hype by NBC that it would address with clarity the "save the cheerleader" mantra.
I'm not ready to make too many full-on predictions, though I thought Wednesday's were interesting. Kring has said someone will die, though he has intimated it will be someone closer to the action (than say, the Mom, which was Wed's prediction). My prediction for a couple of weeks now has been Isaac. We've seen less of his backstory than anyone else's thus far and his power, while cool, is made somewhat less useful by Hiro's ability to time travel. It's possible that it could be Niki/Jessica, but Ali Larter's such eye candy for all the str8 boys that I'm not sure I could see them killing her.
One thing that the producers need to be wary of is intrducing "supers" left and right. We now see that Eden has some kind of "power of suggestion" (probably not a full-on mental thing, more likely she needs to actually speak to the person she's trying to influence). And we meet Charlie the doomed waitress with "super memory." As someone once said, if everyone's special, then no one is.
We all wear a green carnation.

I think what a lot of people haven't mentioned and is, to me anyway, most important is the revelation that the 'supers' phenomenon isn't new. It's been going on at least 14 years, which means that there are lots more out there to be used in subsequent seasons.

Yeah, Ted Sprague, the "radioactive man" is clearly the key to the atomic explosion in NYC.
I see things unfolding like this...
The midseason climax point with be stopping Sylar from killing Claire. This will serve as the event that will fairly solidly unify the main characters (Peter, Nathan, Issac, Hiro, Claire, possibly even Niki, D.L., and Micah). From what I've read, I think this will be mostly wrapped up by the end of the first run of episodes (Dec. 4). At that point, NBC's going to air reruns through the Holidays.
The season ending events will drive toward preventing Ted from blowing up and taking NYC with him. I'm guessing there will be a cliffhanger at which we're left all summer wondering if the Heroes were able to prevent Ted from destroying NYC.
IOW, the "Heroes'" goals are...
1. Save the cheerleader (from Sylar) 2. Save the world (from Ted's super-nuking powers)

It's possibly gone on longer than that if we're to believe that Sylar is in fact Patient Zero. He's clearly an adult.

If you guys are gonna let its similarities to RISING STARS influence your enjoyment of it, then that's too bad. Seriously. It's like not liking DOOM PATROL because it was too similar to UNCANNY X-MEN. Makes no sense.
There's room enough for all of it.

I'm not sure I said anything like that.
Wait.
(Scrolling)
Nope, I didn't.
There's a good amount of Rising Stars influence there. It's very obvious. Very. But I've still enjoyed the episodes I've seen so far.
It ain't anime, but I'll continue to watch.

I loathe this show. However, since Doc seems to enjoy it, thought I would share something I read online about it. And, as I don't watch the show, this could be possible SPOILER material.... SPOILERS Quote:
TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello has just broken what amounts to amazing news in regards to casting for “Heroes”. According to his Ask Ausiello column, Ausiello says that Christopher Eccleston, who was Doctor Who in the British series’ latest incarnation but left after the first year, will be joining the cast of “Heroes”! Here’s what Ausiello said:
Fanboys, prepare to piddle yourself. Christopher Eccleston — the original Dr. Who from the current Sci Fi/BBC series — is joining the cast in January in a really super (tee-hee) role. Speaking of cool casting, wait until you see who’s ******* ****’s ****. You’re going to flip.
Of course the asterisk isn’t my doing, but Ausiello’s way of teasing the audience. Just who will Eccleston be playing? Sylar, perhaps? Naaaaaaaah. (Or maybe…)

I've heard this rumor as well. It would be awesome. Eccleston's a fine actor, and clearly no stranger to the sci-fi/ fantasy genre....

Fuck.
If Eccleston is gonna be in it I'll have to start watching it again. Even if its poorly written women empowering rape fanfic.

It really did get better as the episodes progressed. Not to say it's incredible (the special effects still come off as quite cheesy and some of the actors leave something to be desired) but it's coming along nicely.
The pilot was a poor indication of the episodes to follow. I'm hoping that it will get better as its budget increases.

Didn't see tonights episode but I had some theories or at least interesting ideas for what might happen.
- I had an idea that the save the cheerleader save the world message might have been created by either sylar or mr bennet. We know that Hiro is the one who we heard first say it but we don't really know where he got it from. It could be one of their ideas to group the heroes together and take them all out at once.
- Mr. Bennet mentioned how he ended up having to kill one of the metas several years ago (Claire's real parent) I wasn't sure if he said if it was male or female or both of them but I thought it would be interesting if he had just killed her father and her real mother was now his assistant Eden especially with her reaction to running into Claire at the office.
The person I think is gonna die is Nathan Petrowski. If you think about he's the only one that really has anyhing to lose by dying. All the other heroes have lost or quit their jobs while Nathan is apparently due to win the election. Plus he's the only one that hasn't even really tried to be heroic with his powers. Even Jessica has said that she wants to do good. I imagine him realising he should do more good with his powers, and ending up sacrificing himself with his powers to save the day. If the nuclear guy is the big explosion maybe he carries him flying high enough into the sky for the blast not to kill anyone

Good episode tonight. I like what's going on with Suresh (sp?). Still could care less about Micah and DL.

Very, very good story.
I think that the guy with telekinesis is Sylar, as we saw him out in LA trying to retake the little girl whose parents he killed.
My daughter and I have a theory about Niki/Jessica, based on having seen the preview for next week in which Jessica's tombstone was depicted (and knowing that next week's episode, "Six Months Ago," takes place, um, six months before the current events). We think that Jessica actually was a separate individual and that her consciousness survived her death and now inhabits Niki. Niki's unaware of her own super-strength, but Jessica is able to bring it out in her when she takes control of their shared body.
I think Claire's friend Zach is in fact gay. Yea, Zach. You rock.
I also sense a budding love thing between Peter and Claire.
Terrific show.

In another in the rumor department, TV Guide is reporting, via the 9th WONDERS website, that George Takei will generate some internal irony to the show by playing Hiro's father in an episode later this season. For those not in the know, it's ironic because Hiro is an avowed Trekker, and George played...oh, you know it.

So, the show will have an actor who plays a gay man on the show, and a real life gay man who plays a father in it, too.

I never watched last week's episode, but whatever.
I think Hiro will succeed in saving the girl's life, but that he won't time travel to the present. Instead, he'll stay six months behind events and in that time learn English.

That is possible. It would also make for a pretty cool sub - plot, too, as Hiro could change things that the others may or may not be aware of.
