So who uses the phrase "War on Christmas"? How is it used? Is it a serious issue, or is it merely an overused phrase which has long since ceased to hold the dramatic impact it was meant to have?
I actually haven't heard it very much. Apparently people are surprised that people are supposedly concerned enough about an alleged endorsement of Judeo-Christianity on our calendar (and no, I'm not referring to the fact that the Gregorian calendar we use was devised by a Pope) that a handful of more vocal (read: whiny) elements in our society are pursuing the sheer futility of eradicating Christmas (oops, I mentioned it) altogether.
