Pro and Sammitch - join the Imperials, see the world! Click on "join a clan" and pick the 1st Imperial Privateers Regiment (currently the last on the list). Current members are me, TTT and backwards 7.
Acting in concert in game gives you an enormous advantage over opponents, because you can slash at a lone player and bring them down very very quickly, and get XPs very very quickly. The only trick is to get people to play in real time - it requires co-ordination and discipline (no wandering off).
I'm currently in Raktam (which I thought would be Wiksik), trying to exchange stuff in the traders hut. Tricky as I don't speak the language, and as a pirate I'm fair game to the locals.
My other alt, Hideo Inakajimita, together with TTT's alt Henry Quantos, are trying to build a boat on Rodrigo Island out in the west. If we can get a boat up and running, we'll go big game hunting in the ocean - the giant squid are a major menace, and to date I've only been busy hunting tigers and elephants - and attack coastal settlements by sea.
If we meet at the shipwreck, we can all tee up. If your characters aren't pirates, we can meet somewhere central like the southern mountain tunnel. The river is a good spot too because you can regain your health by filling up gourds and drinking them.

Pro - don't you mean Durham? If so, let Dagwood drown. Reincarnate back at Durham. Head north to the sea shore, then east. You'll hit a small crossing to Rodrigo Island - look sharp for it, its only in one screen that you'll see it. You need to follow the shoreline to find it. TTT and I are there on the island building a ship (he's Henry Quantos, I'm Hideo Inakajimita). We'll tee up with you and get moving.

Go to the Wiki, and click on the Ubermap. That might help orientate yourself. All the outsider villages are on the south coast, so you'll find one sooner or later. Otherwise, you're a pirate, right? You can always wade deep into the water, drown yourself, and reincarnate back at the shipwreck. Then you'll know where you are. Quote:

No bridge - you have to wade across some shallow water. But you'll see the edge of the island.
Wiksik headhunters have started a competition to get the most heads from Durham, so it'll be pretty noisy there for a while. Good chance to try and kill some aggressive natives.

Sammitch, I'm heading towards York now to cause some mayhem. I've been talking up dialogue and truces with the local constabulary, all of which will probably fall into a heap and result in us sacking the city. If you start heading due west from Derby, it will take you about four days. Once you hit a river, follow it south until you get to some grasslands north of the river delta, and then turn south-west until you hit York.
Prometheus, for you York due east until you hit a swamp, then turn south-east. If you're coming from the shipwreck, its south-east until you hit the grasslands near Dalpok, then due south until you hit the same swamp.

There is a hut in York that someone called czech1 has set up as a tavern.
It has a no killing policy unless you are attacked by someone else!
I stayed there last night & some cunt started attacking me while I was offline!

Chopping at the jungle is one way to build up experience points, though: keep hacking until its brown. Another one is to drink salt water. It lowers your HP, but ups your XP.

backwards 7 and I will be descending on York in the next two - three days: i think we're coming from different directions. TTT is still up at the shipwreck but I'm trying to get him to get down there too.
Son of Mxy has also signed up, as "ellachen", and is up at the shipwreck.
I'm currently trying to negotiate our safety in York, and I've negated threats from the York Loyalists, but I'm still working on the Colonial Police. The other big crew there, the Mercenaries Guild, won't kill us unless someone puts out a hit on us. Which is possible.
