Sammitch, I'm heading towards York now to cause some mayhem. I've been talking up dialogue and truces with the local constabulary, all of which will probably fall into a heap and result in us sacking the city. If you start heading due west from Derby, it will take you about four days. Once you hit a river, follow it south until you get to some grasslands north of the river delta, and then turn south-west until you hit York.
Prometheus, for you York due east until you hit a swamp, then turn south-east. If you're coming from the shipwreck, its south-east until you hit the grasslands near Dalpok, then due south until you hit the same swamp.
