I'm not sure which of the people in the Medical Hut keeps writing these "Awesome Decrees," and I have no idea of the motivation behind it, but it makes for interesting reading.
Where is First Amongst Daves in all this? Timothy Trust hasn't crossed his path since September, back at the shipwreck when Trust was a level 0.

The one that makes me laugh everytime I see it, is on the beach, just a few clicks to the East of the shipwreck, the sand says "Rob Kamphausen is gay!".
The fact that I wrote it doesnt matter, but I wrote it a week or so ago, and forgot all about it til one of my characters was killed!
Just kinda funny as you are making your way along the beach, and that pops up!

First Amongst Daves is heading towards Durham to observe the Durhamites resist the invasion of the Wiksik. Hideo Inakajimita is heading that way too, bearing 49 pieces of driftwood. Vlad the Inhaler and Rotten Balls are all nearby doing the same thing, I assume.
Ibn al Xuffasch is haunting the western outskirts of York, waiting to attack the place once the Colonial Police leave. Order of Patriots mambers are who I'm looking for but they secret themselves well. Assassinations of Mr Bungle and WB Hazen are what I'm out to acheive: if we find them, we kill them, they'll reincarnate at the shaman, but we have someone waiting at the shaman to kill them again. soem co-ordination on this would be good, especially from Prometheus since he's also from York and if he gets killed he'll pop up in York rather than Wiksik (which is what happened to one of my native characters recently).
I was actually thinking that since Simon the game's creator has not introduced boats, contrary to expectations, Hideo might create a state line - a big long line of 25 signs running north to south stating that Durham is under the protection of the Imperials. TTT - you should do the same with Henry Quantos. I'll go back and do it from the edge of Rodrigo Island. That should give the Colonial Police the shits if nothing else.
I'm not the one doing the Imperials decrees, either. I assume that is the Order of Patriots trying to give us a bad rep. One of the reasons why people aren't too fond of us especially in York I suspect is because we are a very large group - no other clans match our size and people find that degree of co-operation a bit off-putting in a group dedicated to causing trouble in their town. And, of course, we're pirates. Once Ibn has enough XPs - or indeed any of you who want to co-run the clan - then I might make him the leader rather than First Amongst Daves, since Ibn is from York.
Of course, I'm mindful that we want to cause havoc in York, not be nice to people in York.

All I am doing is trying to get my characters up several levels at the moment.
They keep getting killed to easily & nearly always miss when trying to kill someone or something!
Two of them are level 2 at the moment, and the other should be on level 2 soon as well!
Doing the salt water/fresh water trick at the moment!
All my characters are near the shipwreck end of the island right now!
Have seen a bug in the game as well.
Tried trading some berries for a GPS.
I was told a GPS was four berries......I had four, so I agreed but kept getting told I didnt have enough!

That would be the poisonous berries/ tasty berries distinction. Once you have native skills, you can see the difference but until then they all look like berries. The trader didn't want your poisonous berries so he wouldn't trade with you.

Snodgrass can help too. As there will be no Colonial Police about, there is no point attacking their hut, although I will put a signpost up outside it. I say we do it in this order: Traders Hut, Ammo Hut, and Czechy's Tavern. See the map back on page 4 or 5 or wherever it is on this thread for locations.

I have been causing trouble over at the Colonial Police message board, and telling them not to take themselves and the game too seriously.
Shartak is back up. Hideo is creating a big line of signs running north to south from Rodrigo Island, using up all of the driftwood he has collected for the past 3 months. After that I think I'll set him up as a bank in Durham. How, exactly, I'm not quite sure.

A guy called Taradon in York, attacked Herman Owen for no reason, despite the fact he is a York native & not allied with the Imperials.
I've taken a few HPs from him with a machete, but as a level 1, I hardly connect enough to actually kill someone!
If anyone else is up for the job, he has been on the same square as Kahuni the shamen for the last day or two!

Okay, awesome!! This is getting good. Due to "hostilities" here and here, it seems Serious Sam is taking me/us seriously. VERY seriously. In fact, he seems to have made it his personal mission to search for and attack me whenever possible...   (Note the difference in dates between the first and the second screenshot...two different kills) I think I personally am through hassling the CP, as they have tended to show they're above these levels of pettiness, and in fact don't take the game quite as seriously as I originally was lead to believe. Serious Sam, on the other hand, seems adamant in making this personal. Rock ON!! LOL!!

When I left for work, I pissed off an elephant by attacking it, hoping it would trample me to death so I can reincarnate back at the shipwreck to visit the trading hut.
I come home, the elephant has trampled me with only a loss of 4hps, and some geezer has come along & killed the elephant, gave me a gold coin saying "Sorry for the loss of your elephant!"

A few things from me. First I've taken the liberty of negotiating with the Colonial Police. This is the last PM in an exchange which has been running for the last day : Quote:

Your use of "prematurely" fits nicely in terms of both the Imperials and the Colonials contritely acknowledging there was fault on the part of both parties. (LOL. You probably should know outside of Shartak I'm a senior lawyer in a large commercial law firm in Australia.) Prometheus' execution was uncalled for, in our view, and it demonstrates good form on behalf of the Colonial Police to say that this was done in haste, if not, on your view, poor judgement.
3. Both parties agree to act in good faith in political relations and military operations involving the other party.
4. In furtherance of that, both parties agree to peacefully co-operate in the defence of Durham against Wiksik headhunters.
EXECUTED as a Deed of Settlement by the following as duly appointed representatives of the parties:
First Amongst Daves - A Colonel of the 1st Imperial Privateers Regiment
Kjendlie - Commander of the Colonial Police
Run that by your guys and see how you go. The sooner you can agree to this the sooner you can get on with your business in peace.

Nighter was keen not to get badmouthed anymore. (Heh.) They've agreed to this in principle, but we're working on the detail. Once we have a deal in place with the CP then you might find York is a bit more pleasant to be in, which should please some of you.
Next, that fucker Serious Sam. What a dick. The first thing we can do is look for him everywhere and kill him as we find him. That should be our only activity in York. He's only one person, and if keeps getting attacked everywhere he goes in York he's soon going to get tired of hitting us. That is where strentgh in numbers works in Shartak. He might kill one or two of us but if me, Nowhereman, Pro and Sammitch keep killing him or even knocking his HP down, he's not going to have a fun time in York. Don't even worry about Hazen and Bungle of the Order of Patriots right now - they're obnoxious but not to the same extend as Sam.
Anyone else who wants to join in and you're not near York, set up an alt in York and join the kill squad.
Don't forget to rub it in if you kill him: "Hello, you little smelly lesbian cunt. Your current ass-kicking is brought to you by the Imperials." Something like that seems appropriate.

I'm all for settling it with the CP. They seem reasonable now.
I'm also all for slapping Serious Sam around. I'm still dead from salt water but I contacted a roaming shaman and just stocking up on APs before I stand up.
