Bellatrix was making sure to move fast. She wanted to get back to Orion before Nwanjoku had time to re-activate, or whatever the hell it was he did to turn back. She wasn't sdure what Harpy would do against an Angel, but she really wasn't in a mood to find out.

Which was probably why she missed the modified YF-23 Black Widow II flying out of the north towards her, right until it fired a missile at her.

She swerved, narrowly avoiding being blown into innumerable small pieces and fighting the urge to go berzerk, the last thing she needed was a berserk killing machine trying to take on some form of modified fighter jet. She needed to get low, where the jet couldn't follow, and then try to outrun it. She was just lucky that her battery wasn't too run down yet. At full speed there were few things that she couldn't outrun.

Nwanjoku screamed below her as she jinked to avoid another missile.

"What's happening?!"

"Right now boy? Your guess is as good as mine. Just relax and try not to wriggle too much, this is gonna get a little rough. Hopefully I can get you through this without too much damage"

"Thank you"

"Don't thank me. My employers want you alive. This is just my job"

If pushed, Sawyer couldn't quite put his finger on why he attacked the strange metal creature. The meta-scan had gone quiet whilst he was still en route, and he'd ended up having to circle round to pick up any kind of signal at all, but now it was pointing dead ahead, at the...thing he was tailing. So why fire? Mimir was very definite on his mission. Locate and detain, without engagement. There was going to be trouble, he was sure of it. But right now, in this place and time, Mimir could go hang.

He eased off on the jet's engines as his target flew down towards the ground. Even with the extensive modifications he'd made, there was no way the Black Widow could fly that low. Even so, he had no intention of giving up the chase, even if he had to follow her all the way back to her base (wherever that was). Of course, there was always the chance that she had some sort of stealth capability and could give him the slip. He'd have to think this through.

Bellatrix breathed a silent sigh of relief as she looked back and saw the jet brake off it's flight path. it looked as if she was home free.

Which was when, with a noise that sounded distinctly like a car starting backwards, a man appeared on her back with a gun pointed directly at the back of her head.

"Land. now."

Bellatrix just had time to drop Emmanuel Nwanjoku and hope he landed safely before Harpy activated.
