Get over yourself, Dave. Show me where I "spammed" anything before (or after!) G-Man became a Mod, and I'll show you a thread or a point I wished to make. If someone wants to discuss a subject you disagree with, does that make it spamming? Because, if so, then G-Man spammed the SHIT out of that forum.

You know?

Y'know, about a month or so ago, you were making some effort at being civil. Thje problem is, even when you're making a serious point, Prometheus, you're posts are so filled with mocking condescension and insults that it can hardly be considered a civil or serious discussion. You condescendingly grade others' posts as "not objective", but ignore the sneering lack of objectivity in your own posts.

It reminds me of a cop friend of mine who talks about incidents where he goes to arrest an identified suspect at their known home address, who happens to be black, and the suspect fights him and/or pulls a weapon on him. So he disarms the guy, wrestles him to the ground and cuffs him. Then later the suspect and his family file a false complaint, saying he used excessive force, called him a "nigger", etc., as vindictive payback on the cop for simply doing his job.

Ummm....at what point was there any racial profiling performed on G-Man? And, if there's a point to you telling this story, does it have any non-racist legitimacy?

I hesitated to keep that parallel example in my post, because I figured you guys would leap to exploit the race aspect of it.

The point is: a cop (like G-man as mod) is doing his job. And the people who have broken the rules deflect blame from themselves and their own actions, falsely accuse the enforcer of those rules as vindictive payback, ignoring they did something wrong that required laying down the law.
In the case of a black suspect, race is the exploitable trump-card. In the case of a female suspect, a suspect could accuse a cop of sexual harassment. A rich suspect could allege brutality due to class envy. Any racial, ethnic, or religious group can manufacture false allegations to deflect from their own responsibility.
And that's what I think the whiners on RKMB are doing to G-man.

Another thing that amazes me is that G-man stepped down, what, 4 days ago as mod?
And yet the white-hot hatred and endless new G-bashing topics burns on. Which further convinces me that all this G-trashing has nothing to do with his performance as moderator.

So say what you will about G-man, but he did a good job, and it was appreciated, by those of us who aren't spammers, trolls and/or politically intolerant of any view that opposes their own.

The bolded part is where you are lying through your fucking teeth. I've never met a group of more politically intolerant, abusive, wildly and emotionally vehement people than you, Wbam, G-Man, and Pariah. Talk about intolerance? You guys are the fucking poster children...

For a bunch of "politically intolerant, abusive, wildly and emotionally vehement people", G-man, Pariah, WBAM and myself, treat you and other liberals here with one hell of a lot more civility than you consistently treat us with.

I generally try to ignore the insults and just respond to your points. But sometimes it gets very personal, and I have to respond.

You're not the worst offender, Prometheus, but you're frequently among them in discussions, and I never see you object to the tactics of r3x29yz4a, Rex, Mxy, and the like.

And there are many other liberals I've clashed with in the past, where we don't have the heated exchanges we used to, and are friendly now when we trade posts, like Animalman, Darknight613, TTT, First Amongst Daves, MagicJay, Wednesday and a few others.

There are a lot of liberals I've never clashed with, and don't think we've ever exchanged an unkind word, such as Snarf, Beardguy, Penwing and Chant. Because even though we disagree politically, they never indulge in the intolerant conservative-demonizing rhetoric and personal attacks that yourself and others do.
Again, you can be civil, and you're not the worst offender, Prometheus. But your actions are not so clean that you can label 4 posters who demonstrate a lot more civility than you as "intolerant".

I'd like to add that I'm not pure either. I've been known to have my share of anti-liberal rants. But I'd argue that when I've done so, it's been in direct reaction to scorched-earth rhetoric from the more extreme posters here on the Left. And I've made a conscious effort to be a kinder, gentler Wonder Boy over the last year or so.
