I have no desire to become a mod on RKMB, especially not the POLITICS forum, after seeing what G-man had to put up with.
Seriously, though, Rob is the only guy here, certainly the only moderator, that I've never seen lose his cool and unleash his anger on anybody. In that aspect, Rob is a model poster for all of us.
But I've e-mailed Rob many times to say: "How in the fuck can you let these jerks get away with this"?!?, or words to that effect.
I wish Rob would crack down on some of the more extreme excesses on RKMB, and that's an aspect where I think G-man was a better moderator than even Rob.
Even so, as I said earlier, there are things G-man did as mod that I wouldn't do. I'd move less stuff, wouldn't change post titles(I think that's up to the individual poster, no matter how in-your-face it gets), and I'd probably warn and politely request toning it down, before moving anything.
