I understand why the A's would want out of Network Associates. Before the Raiders returned and had Mt. Davis built for them, it was a great place to watch a baseball game. Now with the outfield grandstands it's practically a mausoleum. Barely conducive for even football let alone baseball.
It was only a matter of time before the 49ers would move, especially with all the yuppie programmers just over the hill in Silicon Valley playing Yahoo Fantasy Football . Quite frankly, pro sports franchises are a fickle lot. They'll move anywhere and make it sound so cool. I remember when it was said that Tampa was going to be a hotbed for baseball and that community would embrace it like there was no tommorrow. Well, like anywhere else give them a crap product and they'll treat it like crap.
